School Camps in Outback QLD
Wanpa-rda Matilda Outback Education Centre is a dedicated outback QLD school camp facility. Wanpa-rda is idyllically located within the picturesque grounds of the Australian Workers Heritage Centre in Barcaldine. This first class excursion facility provides an ideal environment to participate in our extensive range of ‘Survivor’ and ‘Heritage’ programs and learn what it takes to survive in the harsh outback.
Our centre also provides the perfect base camp from which to explore the many sites of educational significance identified in this truly unique geographical region of Australia. Just a day trip away are attractions such as the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame, the QANTAS Founders Outback Museum, the Tree of Knowledge, Blackall Wool Scour and a host of other exciting educational sites.
